Climate change is happening. Through science, technology and social marketing, there are ways that everyone can help slow it down and reduce the impacts. (Image courtesy of conference parnter, WA Dept. of Ecology)
Students - when working on your environmental science project for the Spokane Youth Environmental Conference, think about how your project fits in with the issue of climate change. For example, if you are studying water quality - what will happen if our region heats up, we have reduced snow pack and rain, and water becomes less available. To help assist you with this new component of the conference, below are graphics, brochures and links to websites. It's a great opportunity for students and teachers to take a global issue, and bring to a local level. Greenhouse Effect Graphic: Courtesy fo WA Dept. of Ecology
